    Actually, I found out this past week that Orthodox Easter is next month. Seems it coincides with Passover this year. I forgot that Orthodoxy follows the Julian Calendar and also factors in when Judaism celebrates Passover.

      Yup, May 1st is Pascha this year.
      
      If i recall correctly, the Julian Calendar was in effect for a lot longer time, than the current calendar we use today.

        I was raised Catholic and recently became Orthodox, I was surprised to see such a split this year in the calendar, another month without meat! I was a vegetarian for four years but this particular fast seems hard for some reason.
